DON’T HATE THE PLAYER, HATE THE GORGON

This week the crew of Red Six continue their delve into the world of Dungeons & Dragons.  Last week the boys discussed tips and tactics for being a successful DM.  This week the gang is joined by Amber Hanneken and Matt Cavanaugh to discuss the table top experience from the players perspective.  We chat about a variety of topics including ways to infuse life and personality into your characters.  The struggle of deciding on a character’s name.  Some bad tropes to avoid when creating a Dungeons & Dragons character.  Also in this Issue of Red Six,  knowledge of the Monster Manuals is put to the extreme test with another round of “What’s In My Pocket”.

We’re so excited to kick off our 5th year of Extra Life fundraising at Game HQ! For 24 hours we play board games, card games, RPGs and other tabletop (with food, tournaments and raffles in the mix) while raising money for Oklahoma kids in need.

Over the past four years, we’ve raised $8,371 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation. This year, we hope to raise $5,000 more to help them advance pediatric research and education programs to improve the health of Oklahoma children. All funds donated to Childen’s Hospital Foundation stay in Oklahoma so that families don’t have to leave the state to receive specialized care. They serve children in all 77 counties and no child is ever turned away, regardless of ability to pay. Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.
